OBSIDIANWALL
Engineered for what's next.
ObsidianWall develops technology and provides expert services for organizations operating complex, programmable, and increasingly autonomous systems.
We are building around a broader challenge: helping organizations understand the systems they depend on, determine what should happen, act deliberately, verify what happened, learn from the result, and remain accountable as those systems continue to evolve.
WHY WE EXIST
The systems organizations depend on are changing.
Cloud infrastructure, software-defined systems, automation, and increasingly autonomous technologies can turn decisions into operational reality quickly.
But operating effectively in that environment requires more than faster technology.
Organizations still need to understand what is happening, determine what should happen, translate decisions into action, verify whether reality matched intent, and learn from the result.
ObsidianWall exists to build capabilities for that environment.
THE LONG VIEW
Build for the relationship between intent and reality.
A policy, architecture, control, or decision matters because of what ultimately happens in the systems and organizations it is meant to direct.
That makes the problem larger than any single decision point.
Organizations need ways to understand their environments, make deliberate decisions, act on them, examine what followed, and use what they learn to inform what happens next.
ObsidianWall is being built around that larger relationship rather than around a single product, technology, discipline, or point in the lifecycle.
HOW WE BUILD
Technology, expertise, and disciplined inquiry.
ObsidianWall develops through three complementary capabilities.
Technology
We build technology that brings organizational requirements closer to the systems, decisions, and changes they are intended to govern.
Verdict is our first shipped product, bringing a governance decision into supported infrastructure delivery workflows before execution.
Expert Services
We work directly with organizations on security, cloud, identity, governance, and control environments—bringing architecture and engineering experience to problems that have to work in real operating conditions.
That work also keeps ObsidianWall connected to the constraints, tradeoffs, and implementation realities organizations actually face.
Research & Discipline
Programmable Assurance is an emerging discipline created by Aisha Ibrahim for continuously aligning organizational intent with outcomes through executable governance, accountability, evidence, and feedback.
ObsidianWall draws from and explores Programmable Assurance through its research and technology while preserving PA's identity as a discipline distinct from the company and its products.
HOW WE WORK
Deliberate systems require deliberate choices.
ObsidianWall starts by understanding what needs to be accomplished and the environment in which it has to work. Technology, controls, and processes are mechanisms—not objectives in themselves—and the appropriate mechanisms depend on the problem, constraints, and intended outcome.
We believe authority should remain explicit, particularly as increasingly capable automated and probabilistic systems become part of organizational decision-making. AI may advise. AI may not authoritatively govern.
We also distinguish implementation from evidence that an implementation actually works. A design, policy, or control should not be treated as successful merely because it exists; what matters is how it operates in practice and what the available evidence shows.
And the process should not end there. Decisions and implementations produce outcomes. What organizations observe can inform what they understand, decide, and improve next.
FOUNDER
Built from engineering outward.
Aisha Ibrahim is the Founder & CEO of ObsidianWall.
Her background spans hands-on work across cybersecurity and cloud security engineering, security architecture, identity and Zero Trust, governance, and the technical systems organizations rely on to operate securely.
Beginning at the implementation and operational layers of cybersecurity led her to look increasingly at the larger systems surrounding the technology: the objectives behind technical requirements, how decisions and authority move through organizations, how intent reaches implementation, and whether what happens in practice matches what was intended.
That perspective expanded beyond any one security control or governance mechanism into a broader interest in the relationship among organizational intent, complex technical systems, operational decisions, evidence, outcomes, and feedback.
Her work on those problems contributed to the development of Programmable Assurance, which she created as an emerging discipline, and to Verdict, publicly launched in May 2026 as the first shipped product now developed by ObsidianWall.
ObsidianWall provides a broader company through which that work can continue across technology, expert services, and research without defining the company by any single product, discipline, or domain.
