Privacy Notice
Last Updated: 18 October 2026
ObsidianWall LLC ("ObsidianWall," "we," "us," or "our") respects the privacy of people who interact with our websites, contact us, and use our technology.
This Privacy Notice explains what personal information ObsidianWall receives and processes through the web properties and interactions described below, why we use that information, and the choices available to you.
1. Scope
This Privacy Notice applies to personal information ObsidianWall processes through its corporate website at obsidianwall.com, its developer property at obsidianwall.dev where applicable, and direct interactions with ObsidianWall such as submitting an inquiry or corresponding with us.
ObsidianWall maintains distinct web properties for different purposes. The corporate website provides information about the company, its technology, expert services, and ways to engage with ObsidianWall. The developer property provides technical and developer-oriented information about ObsidianWall technology.
Third-party websites, repositories, services, or other properties reached through links from an ObsidianWall website may operate under their own privacy practices.
2. Information You Provide to ObsidianWall
You may provide information directly to ObsidianWall when you contact us, submit an inquiry, or otherwise communicate with the company.
Our corporate Contact form may request your name, work email address, organization, role or title if you choose to provide it, the type of inquiry, and the information you include in your message.
We use this information to understand your inquiry and determine the appropriate response or next step.
Please do not submit passwords, authentication credentials, sensitive personal information, or confidential technical data through the Contact form.
If you communicate with ObsidianWall through another channel, we may receive the information you choose to include in that communication.
3. Information Collected Through Our Websites
When you access an ObsidianWall website, certain technical information may be processed as necessary to deliver, operate, secure, and maintain the website.
ObsidianWall may also use privacy-conscious measurement to understand how its web properties are used and to improve their operation and effectiveness. Any analytics implementation is subject to ObsidianWall's data-minimization and privacy requirements.
Our website uses first-party analytics to measure page views, selected link interactions, and whether Contact submissions succeed or fail. We retain daily aggregate counts, including broad traffic-source, country, and screen-size categories, for up to 13 months.
Our analytics script does not set cookies, use browser storage, assign persistent visitor identifiers, or retain IP addresses or browser user-agent details in our analytics database. It does not collect analytics events when your browser communicates a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal.
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes requests to deliver, secure, and operate the website. Cloudflare may process technical request information and use cookies necessary for its services. For details about Cloudflare's practices, see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy (external site) and Cloudflare's cookie documentation (external site).
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use advertising trackers or follow you across other sites.
Website analytics and Verdict product telemetry are separate data-processing contexts. Nothing in this section represents that Verdict currently transmits product-usage telemetry to ObsidianWall.
4. How We Use Information
Depending on the interaction, ObsidianWall may use information it receives to:
- respond to inquiries and communications;
- evaluate and respond to prospective expert-services inquiries;
- respond to company- or technology-related inquiries;
- operate, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot our web properties;
- understand and improve the operation and effectiveness of our web properties using approved and appropriately minimized measurement; and
- meet applicable legal requirements or protect ObsidianWall, its users, and others where appropriate.
We do not use this purpose list as authorization to collect information unrelated to the purposes for which it was obtained.
5. Verdict Local Governance Decision History
Verdict can maintain a history of governance decisions locally within the user's environment. This local history is recorded automatically by default unless disabled, and the current Local Governance Decision History subsystem does not transmit those governance records to ObsidianWall.
Instructions for controlling the capability and technical details about how local decision history operates are provided in Verdict's developer and technical documentation.
Local Governance Decision History is distinct from product telemetry. ObsidianWall has not implemented remote Verdict product telemetry as a current product capability. Any future product telemetry would be subject to separate architecture, privacy, and approval requirements.
6. Service Providers and Disclosure
ObsidianWall may use service providers to support functions such as website hosting, website operation, communications, and processing inquiries submitted to the company. Those providers may process information on ObsidianWall's behalf as necessary to provide their services.
Our Contact form is processed by Formspree. When you submit the form, your submission is sent to Formspree, which delivers it to us and may retain it in accordance with its own policies. For details about Formspree's practices, see Formspree's Privacy Policy (external site).
ObsidianWall may also disclose information when required by applicable law or legal process, or where necessary to address security, fraud, misuse, or threats to the rights or safety of ObsidianWall or others, subject to applicable law.
7. Retention and Security
ObsidianWall retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and as otherwise required or appropriate under applicable obligations.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the reason it was collected, and applicable operational or legal requirements.
ObsidianWall takes reasonable measures intended to protect information within its control. No method of transmission, storage, or information security can guarantee absolute security.
8. Privacy Requests
Depending on where you are located and applicable law, you may have rights relating to personal information processed by ObsidianWall.
You may contact ObsidianWall to ask a privacy question or make a request concerning personal information we process about you. We will evaluate and respond to applicable requests in accordance with applicable law.
9. Changes to This Privacy Notice
ObsidianWall may update this Privacy Notice as its websites, services, technology, or data-processing practices change.
When we update the notice, we will revise the "Last Updated" date. Where applicable law requires additional notice regarding a material change, we will provide it as required.
