Website Terms
Last Updated: 18 October 2026
These Website Terms (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the ObsidianWall LLC (“ObsidianWall,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) web properties described below.
Please read these Terms before using the applicable web properties.
1. Scope
These Terms apply to ObsidianWall's corporate website at obsidianwall.com and developer property at obsidianwall.dev.
ObsidianWall may make software, source code, documentation, specifications, examples, research materials, and other resources available through or in connection with these web properties. Some of those materials are governed by separate licenses or terms.
Where a separate license or set of terms applies to particular materials, that license or those terms govern the materials within their scope. These Website Terms do not replace or modify those separate licenses or terms.
2. Use of Our Websites
You may use ObsidianWall's web properties for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You may not use the web properties to:
- interfere with or disrupt their operation or security;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or information;
- introduce malicious code or use the web properties to conduct malicious activity;
- use automated means in a manner that materially disrupts or impairs operation of the web properties; or
- falsely represent that you are affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by ObsidianWall.
Nothing in this section is intended to restrict rights expressly granted under a separate applicable license.
3. Intellectual Property
Except where otherwise indicated or governed by a separate license, content created by ObsidianWall and made available through its web properties may be owned by or licensed to ObsidianWall and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Software, source code, documentation, specifications, examples, research materials, and other resources may be subject to separate licenses. Those licenses govern the materials within their respective scope.
ObsidianWall's Website Terms do not convert separately licensed materials into proprietary materials or narrow rights granted under an applicable open-source or open-content license.
Programmable Assurance
Programmable Assurance is an emerging discipline created by Aisha Ibrahim.
ObsidianWall draws from and explores Programmable Assurance through its research and technology while preserving PA's identity as a discipline distinct from the company and its products.
Applicable Programmable Assurance materials may be made available under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). The applicable license accompanying or identified for those materials governs their use.
Nothing in these Terms represents that ObsidianWall owns Programmable Assurance merely because ObsidianWall discusses, explores, implements, or links to materials relating to the discipline.
4. ObsidianWall Names and Branding
Rights granted under an open-source, open-content, or other license applicable to particular materials do not by themselves grant rights to use ObsidianWall's names, logos, branding, or other source-identifying material except as permitted by the applicable license, applicable law, or separate authorization.
5. Informational Content and Professional Relationships
Information made available through ObsidianWall's web properties is provided for general informational purposes unless expressly stated otherwise.
Accessing the websites, reviewing their content, or submitting an inquiry does not by itself establish a client, advisory, fiduciary, professional-services, or similar relationship with ObsidianWall.
Submitting this form does not establish an engagement or client relationship with ObsidianWall.
Any expert-services engagement requires a separate agreement between ObsidianWall and the applicable client.
6. Open-Source and Technical Materials
ObsidianWall may make software and technical materials available under separate licenses.
For example, Verdict is open-source software distributed under the Apache License 2.0. Use, modification, and distribution of Verdict source code within the scope of that license are governed by the Apache License 2.0 rather than by these Website Terms.
Other materials may be governed by different licenses or terms where identified.
Nothing in these Website Terms is intended to revoke, reduce, or replace rights already granted under an applicable open-source or other separate license.
7. External and Separately Governed Properties
ObsidianWall's web properties may link to websites, repositories, package-distribution services, documentation, resources, or other properties that are operated by third parties or governed separately from the ObsidianWall corporate web properties.
Those properties may have their own terms, licenses, privacy practices, and operating policies.
A link from an ObsidianWall web property does not cause separately governed materials or properties to become governed by these Website Terms.
8. Website Availability and Changes
ObsidianWall may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features, content, or portions of its web properties.
Changes to an ObsidianWall web property do not revoke rights already granted in software, content, or other materials under a separate applicable license.
Changes to These Terms
ObsidianWall may update these Terms as its web properties and operations evolve.
When the Terms are updated, the “Last Updated” date will be revised.
